Executing A Hit and Run Play

Baseball players can advance their game by using the hit-and-run play, which benefits both the batter and the runner. As a hitter, it is your responsibility to ensure that you make contact with the ball, unless the pitch is intentionally sent low to the ground. The batter's primary objective should be to hit a ground ball to the opposite field, as the fielder who plays that position will be covering the base in the area where the ball is hit.
